What an unbelievable night at the 'Sage' in Gateshead last Friday.You certainly made my Birthday and it will remain a night I will never forget alongside your gig at the 'Twisted Wheel' in Manchester an incredible forty four years ago !!!!
What REALLY made it for me was to hear how seamlessly the 'newly corked' material from your great new album blended and sat with the vintage material from the Soul Cellar - Down in the Basement !

I have only seen you in concert one time. It was at the "theater at Madison square garden" with van Morrison. I believe the year was 2003. I had never heard your music before, but I was blown away. I am writing you, to tell you, that seven years later, your music is as soothing and comforting as it was the day I first heard it. You have eased many long days for this mid western yuppie.
